Heritage Centre Resources 'The Library/Research Room (John Malin Library) holds the society's main archive. Follow this link for a list of most of the resources. [Delete 'Access to our Library Archive] Access to the John Malin Library for research into ancestry and other topics is free to Society members. Open from Thursdays between 2.00pm and 4.00pm, we recommend you make an appointment in advance with the Curator Roger Thornburgh (01386 701235). Non-members who are contemplating using the Society’s facilities for research should discuss their requirements with the Curator in advance. If access to our archives is likely to be of help, we ask for a donation to the Society or that you join the Society – see the“Membership” page for further particulars of all the other benefits available from Society membership and for an application form. We may be able to carry out research on your behalf, subject to the agreement of the team doing the research and again we would ask for a suitable donation. The Heritage Centre also has a store of local artefacts which are not generally viewable by visitors but are used in our occasional exhibitions. Follow this link for a list of most of the resources stored in the John Malin Library at the Blockley Heritage Centre. |
